A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to inactive email addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from friends or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you’ve got a shared hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all functionality for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a few features, but it’s very simple to work with, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be listed in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the specific email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be activated with ease in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have created with the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be enumerated in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll notice a small-size icon conveniently situated directly next to each of them. With just a click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your liking as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with this option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option using the context menu that will come into sight. In case any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not met, our system will let you know, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
